Diddy named in chair scare

Sean “Diddy” Combs’ top choreographer – who took a star turn on the rap mogul’s MTV reality show “Making the Band” – has accused him of threatening her with a chair during a heated argument that ended their partnership.

Laurie Ann Gibson filed a complaint with the NYPD claiming Diddy picked up a chair and menaced her with it during an argument over the lackluster performance of the TV show’s latest group of contestants

Danity Kane keeping the 'show' going on new CD

The show isn’t stopping for Danity Kane. The “Making the Band 3” quintet, whose self-titled album debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 last August and launched the hits “Show Stopper” and “Ride for You,” plans a fall release for its sophomore set and is already working on tracks for the as-yet-untitled project.

“We’re working on our new album as we speak,” the group’s Aubrey O’Day tells Billboard.com, adding, “Most of the stuff we’re working on right now is our own stuff we’re writing and producing ourselves, within the group, and hopefully will get some placement.”

Sean "Diddy" Combs says rappers can't sing!

After turning “Danity Kane” into a successful girl-group, rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs is now searching for male singers to form a boy-band.

He says that he wants his male group to be a cross between “N-Sync’” and “New Edition”, and that it is not necessary for a chap to be a rapper for being a part of the band.

Babs arrested

Bad Boy rapper Babs of Making The Band fame was arrested early Saturday (June 24) after an altercation at a Brooklyn, N.Y., house party.

According to representatives, Babs spent the night in jail after an incident involving two unidentified women. One woman allegedly believed Babs had stolen her former lover.

Cheri Dennis preps debut album

On MTV's Making of the Band Season Three, Bad Boy singer Cheri Dennis' name came up when P. Diddy made his talented group of young ladies learn her sweet single, “I Love You.”

Dennis, who is now prepping her self-titled debut album for a June 13 release, learned from the experience.

Comment “On one hand, I thought since they were singing my song it may cause a little confusion of whose song it was,” says Dennis. “Then on the other hand, 50 million people watched that show so to get that kind of exposure for my name was incredible.”

Dennis and the Bad Boy team have recruited the services of hit producers like Timbaland, Rodney Jerkins and Mario Yellow Man Winans for her impending album.

Diddy Holding Auditions For Mtb 3

The open-call auditions for Making The Band III begins Oct. 12 in Los Angeles, then head to Miami on Oct. 18 and New York City on Oct.21. Contestants must be at least 18 years old. “Making the Band 3” will premiere on MTV early next year.
