When it comes to playing Biggie on the big screen, size matters. Take it from De’Andre Neal, a 6-foot-3, 315-pound bouncer with fingers as thick as Twix bars. The Brooklyn native was one of more than 100 hopefuls who turned out for an open casting call on a soundstage in Manhattan’s meat-packing district, trying to fill the size-13 shoes of Christopher Wallace, a.k.a. Notorious B.I.G., in “Notorious,” a new biopic about the slain rapper.

Diddy to produce Notorious B.I.G. film

The life and death of slain rapper Notorious BIG is to be brought to the big screen in a new biopic produced by hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, Variety reports.

The film will be made by Fox Searchlight films and directed by George Tillman Jr., who was the men behind the camera for the Barbershop films.

"Young & Yunger" movie with Yung Joc

According to rapper Young Dro, he and fellow Atlanta native Yung Joc have teamed to create a new movie, “Young & Yunger.” While Dro didn’t reveal the details of the plot, the movie is being pitched to some Hip-Hop Hollywood A-listers.

Bad Boy artists 8 Ball & MJG celebrated the launch of their new respective labels 8 Ways Entertainment and MJG Entertainment on Wednesday (Oct. 25) in their hometown of Memphis, Tenn.

P Diddy announces tour plans

P. Diddy is lining up a world tour of low key venues in the New Year.

The rapper, whose new album ‘Press Play’ is out today (October 16), says he will be taking a band on the road when he kicks off his first tour in six years.

Although no dates have yet been set for the trek, Diddy claims that it will be an “up close and personal” experience in “smaller types of venues”.

P. Diddy's next movie

P. Diddy has made a deal to star in the remake of “Carlito’s Way,” the 1993 Brian De Palma classic with Sean Penn and Al Pacino. The new movie, “Carlito’s Way: The Beginning,” will begin production shortly and will be written and directed by Michael S. Bregman, son of producer Martin Bregman.
