Diddy promises Nas, Kanye, Cee-Lo, 'Gutter' Christina on possible last LP

Diddy hopes fans press play on his new LP next week, but he pushed the button on his promotional campaign a few weeks ago, gassing up the jet and traveling the country.

On Friday, he was home in New York partying at the Stone Rose Lounge in Manhattan to help launch Best Buy’s online digital-music store. He also previewed a few tracks from his fourth LP, Press Play, due October 17 (see “Press Play On Diddy’s October LP, Hear Christina, Kanye, Mary J.”).

Nas considers Diddy/Nas branded champagne

Nas is in full support of a continued, formal boycott of Cristal—but only if Hip-Hop steps up to replace the champagne, which typically sells for $450-$600 per bottle.

“I support a boycott if we could come up—like if we put up something, our own champagne. There’s tons of vineyards we could get into and buy,” Nas told AllHipHop.com in response to controversial comments made by Cristal’s managing director against rappers who drink the beverage.

Diddy surrounded by stars on "Press Play"

Sean “Diddy” Combs is surrounded by some of the biggest names in music on his upcoming album, “Press Play.” Due Oct. 17 via Bad Boy, the set boasts contributions from Christina Aguilera, OutKast’s Big Boi, Mary J. Blige, Jamie Foxx, Nas, Fergie, Brandy and Keyshia Cole, among others.

First single “Come to Me” featuring the Pussycat Dolls’ Nicole Scherzinger is No. 13 on Billboard’s Hot Rap Tracks chart this week. Diddy will perform the track later tomorrow (Sept. 7) in Miami Beach as part of NBC’s “NFL Kickoff” show, which will also feature Yung Joc, Cassie, Tego Calderon and Ozomatli.
