Diddy's version of "A Raisin in the Sun" hits TV 2008

Sean “Diddy” Combs’ movie adaptation of Lorraine Hansberry’s play “A Raisin in the Sun” will air as an “ABC Premiere Event” following the network’s broadcast of The 80th Annual Academy Awards.

The three-hour television movie version of A Raisin in the Sun is executive produced by Combs and features the rapper/actor/mogul as the character Walter Lee Jr., a role originally played by Sidney Poitier.

Bad Boys Of Comedy debuts April 6 on HBO

The nation's hottest up-and-coming urban comedians take the spotlight when the exclusive HBO series P. Diddy Ppresents The Bad Boys Of Comedy kicks off its second season on Friday, April 6 at 12:00a.m. ET/PT.

Taped at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in New York, the six-edition season features rising comedy stars performing before a live audience. Each show includes an appearance by Diddy, with rapper Doug E. Fresh introducing the acts and DJ Mister Cee providing music.

With sales of his latest “Press Play” album having tapered off since it debuted at No. 1 back in October, Sean “Diddy” Combs has reportedly approached American Idol producers about appearing on the Fox mega-hit’s sixth season.

“Diddy’s album ‘Press Play’ has fallen off the charts and he’s looking for ways to pump fresh life back into it,” a friend of the 37-year-old entertainment mogul, record producer, actor and rapper told OK! Weekly in its February 19 issue.

A spokesman for Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has slammed reports the rap mogul fought with Grey’s Anatomy star T.R. Knight at a pre-Grammy Awards party on Friday night.

Members of the TV show’s cast were attending Justin Timberlake’s pre-Grammys party at Los Angeles’ Avalon nightclub when they were reportedly told to give up their table to accommodate Combs.

Sean ‘Diddy” Combs and Jay-Z are reportedly in negotiations with Comcast to launch a Video On Demand channel with urban themed programming.

According to the New York Post, the two hip-hop entrepreneurs along with Harvey and Bob Weinstein attended a meeting at the cable giant’s head offices in Philadelphia last week.

Sean “Diddy” Combs is transferring his Broadway experience to the small screen in a new television movie adaptation of Lorraine Hansberry’s A Raisin in the Sun.

Production recently started on the three-hour feature in Toronto, Canada. The feature will air on ABC during the 2007 season.

A Raisin in the Sun will be airing in ABC

Sony Pictures TV execs Craig Zadan and Neil Meron have bought the rights to bring the Broadway play, A Raisin in the Sun to ABC.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and the main cast of the 2004 revival have signed on to star in the show, including Phylicia Rashad, Audra McDonald and Sanaa Lathan. Diddy will also be the executive producer through his Bad Boy World Wide Entertainment Group.

Naomi Drops Out Of Diddy's Celebrity Cooking Show

Model Naomi Campbell has unexpectedly pulled out of Cooking Showdown, a celebrity-driven reality show that is being produced by Sean “Diddy” Combs.

Cooking Showdown features celebrities alongside well-known chefs who teach the stars how to prepare a three-course meal. The week-long competition includes Ja Rule, Tom Arnold and Gabrielle Reese, among others.

Reports suggested that Campbell suddenly reneged on the show because of a feud with Combs.

Unforgivable is the top-selling fragrance

No stranger to topping the charts with No. 1 albums, Sean “Diddy” Combs’ Unforgivable has become the top-selling fragrance since its release in February.

Estee Lauder, who partnered with Diddy to launch the fragrance, says Unforgivable is the best cologne to come out in years. Diddy, Federated Department Stores chief executive Terry Lundgren and Estee Lauder global brand president John Dempsey were slated to ring the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange this morning (April 3).

Ohio-based Reynolds Family Homes, which has become known nationwide as the “hip-hop builder” for giving their home models names like “P-Lo,” “Platinum Grillz” and “Bling Bling,” are currently seeking an agreement with Bad Boy Worldwide Entertainment Group to license the name “Sean John” for one of its models.

Though his Unforgivable cologne is flying off the shelves, Sean “Diddy” Combs may soon be in legal trouble for infringing on the trademark of another fragrance.

According to the United States Patent & Trademark Office, Diddy was denied the Unforgivable trademark because the cologne’s name was too close to Unforgiven, a women’s fragrance launched by French perfumer Jacques Evard.

Diddy Holding Auditions For Mtb 3

The open-call auditions for Making The Band III begins Oct. 12 in Los Angeles, then head to Miami on Oct. 18 and New York City on Oct.21. Contestants must be at least 18 years old. “Making the Band 3” will premiere on MTV early next year.
