New reward for information about the unsolved murder of Notorious B.I.G

On Friday, Los Angeles City Councilman Dennis Zine proposed offering a $50,000 reward for information about the unsolved murder of rapper Notorious B.I.G., The Associated Press reports.

The reward would be offered for just 60 days, in the hopes that “someone will come forward with information which will lead to the eventual apprehension of the murderers involved in this case,” Zine said in a statement. The motion is being reviewed by a council committee.

A $25,000 reward was established back in 1997, but expired after several months. The Los Angeles Police Department recently reassigned the case to a team of new investigators.
