Da Band's Babs due in court next week

Babs Bunny, formerly of Bad Boy group Da Band, is scheduled to make a court appearance on Monday, July 24th to face charges relating to her arrest in Brooklyn, NY last month.

As SOHH previously reported, Babs (Born Lynese Wiley) was arrested and jailed for allegedly threatening a woman and keying her car outside a Brooklyn apartment on June 24.

The dispute sparked when two women confronted the rapper at her Brooklyn residence, accusing her of flirting with the beau of one of the two women at a party the previous evening.

According to Babs’ camp, the two women asked Babs to come outside and threatened her family. Babs reportedly stayed in until the women left.

The Brooklyn bred rapper then allegedly paid a visit to the apartment of the woman who made the accusations about her man.

The woman then phoned the police and claimed she saw a person in a red hat key her car from her 15th floor apartment window. She also told cops that Babs threatened her.

After being released from jail, Babs plead not guilty to the charges and was hit with a restraining order. She now can’t come within 100 feet of the woman.

Babs is due to make her court appearance on Monday, July 24
